WE HAVE REBRANDED!
As some of you may already know, ORTHOSHOP Geomatics Ltd has recently re-branded our company to OGL Engineering. This new brand better reflects who we are as an engineering company and the wide array of services that we provide to our clients.
WHY THE CHANGE?
Originally founded in 1980 as The ORTHOSHOP, OGL Engineering was one of the first companies in Alberta to specialize in photogrammetry, creation of planimetric and topographic data from stereo imagery, and the production of orthophotography.
As technology evolved, so did our company. In 2006, the company name was changed to ORTHOSHOP Geomatics Ltd. to reflect our broadening scope of geomatics services, including: large scale project design and consultation, LiDAR processing and analysis, satellite image processing, and GIS services.
In 2011, OGL Engineering became a professional engineering company registered with APEGA (Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta). The same year, the company added digital aerial photography cameras and LiDAR sensors to the complement of remote sensing equipment.
With the vast and continuous technological advancements in our industry, we believe it is important that we provide our expertise and guidance to our clients to position them for success. Although some of our clients know that our company offers comprehensive consulting services, many still associate our business as a ‘data provider’. For that reason, after revisiting our company vision in the beginning of 2018, we decided to start doing business under the name OGL Engineering.
We are very excited about this change as we look forward and continue to provide cutting-edge geomatics solutions to our ever-expanding and loyal client base.
