High Resolution Scanning

We have the equipment and capacity to provide high resolution scanning of aerial negatives, including very large jobs. Aerial negatives are scanned at 12.5 microns on our DSW 500 roll film scanner. The DSW 500 has a geometric precision of 2.0 microns and the calibration is checked weekly and at the beginning and end of each large project.

The DSW 500 roll feed scanner is top of the line equipment specially designed for scanning aerial film for photogrammetric applications. The entire image including all fiducials is scanned, and all final scans are backed up.

Each scanned image is processed through AGFA Apertune software. Apertune automatically enhances each image according to a specified set of instructions that combines the images color, tone and spatial data for optimal image reproduction. The integrity and quality of the original image is never sacrificed. If for example the image requires a boost in contrast, the shadow and highlight detail can be set to remain unaltered.
